Went to watch “赤壁：決戰天下” with Miao and Ting during our break. Sequel to “赤壁”, this second part focused on the war of the Red Cliff. It had more action sequences compared to the first, hence more exciting than the first. However, the transition from one scene to another, totally sucks big time, and I seriously mean it. Those who watch it may probably feel the same way as well.
Anyway, there have been news reports that 林志鈴 paying the role of 小喬 has more dialogues and can see more of her acting compared to the first part of the story. However, I still feel that she's still just a vase, like the first. I guess she isn't cut out for acting, or perhaps the role wasn't suitable for her.
Compared to the first, I don't know why but the sequel did not leave a greater impact, as it should be. It was just magnificent to see the set design and of course, the effects of the movie. You just watch it, and that's it. It doesn't leave a deep impact in your mind, and causing you to think more about it. It's like you watch it, that's it. End of story. You wouldn't talk too much with your friends who watched it.
It could be just me who has this feeling.....
