Sucky week

20th March 2006, Monday

Damn the ladder used in Suntec storeroom! It seemed that my eight characters clashed with the ladder today (八字相克). Got injured by the ladder while doing stock-take. The ladder was already spoilt, with 2 sides of the joints sticking out. I was already cautious on being hit by the joint but still, the harder you try to avoid, the worse accident happens. Thou was standing on a chair to do stock-take, and was in between AiZhen (standing on another chair) and Karl (standing on the ladder). If I wanted to get down, I had to avoid hitting them or knocking against them. And so I tried, carefully trying to get down but the stupid ladder won’t allow me. The sharp point of the joint, rip a hole in my pants and causing a scar on the back of my thighs. No choice, I had to spend money on getting a new pair of jeans to wear. Thank goodness by that time, the stores were already opened and I rushed my way to Giordano to buy.

Even though the ladder has caused an injury to me, still it wouldn’t let me off easily. The storeroom was packed with stuff and I had tried my best not to trip over them but still, the ladder caused me to almost trip over several times. Damn!

Although the ladder went against me, I still had some good happening today. I met an ex-classmate whom I totally lost contact with. She grew prettier and we chatted for awhile, knowing what each other is doing right now. She told me that end of September, she is getting engaged and I find it hard to believe that she’s getting married so soon. Same age as me and yet...

Still, I congratulated her and wished her all the best. We exchanged phone numbers in order to keep contact with each other.

It’s really a wonder that how 2 people who used to know each other, lost contact and still managed to find one another on one day, even though Singapore is rather small as compared to other countries. Definitely, this would be fate and fate decides on who are the people you’ll meet with.


22nd March 2006, Wednesday

Supposed to be on standby but the night before, somehow or rather, my hunch told me that I would be called back for work. Certainly, I hit the jackpot, and winning 4D also not that lucky. MaoQi took MC so I had to replace her at HGM.

Upon reaching, I saw Radin working at the Bossini bazaar, holding at HGM’s atrium. Thought he was still working at HGM’s Bossini outlet but he told me he was transferred to Chinatown’s outlet.

A new part timer was there and his name was Darren. From what I know, he’s Herman’s cousin but strangely, he claimed that he didn’t know what the position that Herman is holding is. Strange… It seems that he doesn’t know Herman that well.

24th March 2006, Friday

It’s a sucky week alright, starting with stock-take on Monday, me getting injuries, called back during standby coz someone took MC, worked with a stubborn mule + cuckoo head, bad sales. Only 2 good things happened: met an old friend of mine and got my diploma successfully.

Working with a stubborn mule + cuckoo head was the most tiring and sucky thing ever. He’s an old-fashioned person, who only wants to do things his way. Though he kept asking us for comments and said “I’m accepted to changes” but he never took the comments. He would retort and argue back with his so-called “reasons” and kept on nagging why he chose his way. So as not to waste time with him, we did not want to say anything. Some of the things he does, we definitely would not want to agree with him but we are of no position to retort back or argue back with reasonable reasons. Why? Coz his position is higher than us and we are just mere part timers. Who are we to comment? My blood boils at the mention of him. Damn! Thou shall not continue anymore.

Got back my results of my final semester. Thank goodness I managed to pass my C Programming. Thought I was going flunk it. However, ain’t that satisfied with this semester’s GPA, got only 2.75. Overall GPA for 6 semesters just managed to scrape through 3, with a 3.0296. Scared not able to make it to Uni. Sighz….

Hope next week will be a better week but I got a feeling I’ll be kena for MSQ’s pre-count, which will be lasting till 1am….
